Pearled Farrow w. Grilled pork and Brussel sprouts

I bought Pearled Farrow for the first time and started looking on pinterest for a recipe with farrow and pork. I was so unimpressed with all the options that I decided I just needed to invent my own recipe, adhering to all my needs. I’m so glad I did, because this lightly creamy, flavorful dish turning out so good that I had a hard time putting my plate down. See my video on Youtube.

3-4  Servings.

What you need:

Pork

1 Cup Rinsed Pearled Farrow

1.5 cups chopped Brussel Sprouts

1/2 Cup Chopped Yellow Onion

1/4 of a Red Bell Pepper, Chopped

1/2 cup Green Beans

1 Tbsp Chopped Garlic

2 Tbs Cream Cheese

1/2 Avocado

2 Mushroom Bullion Cubes

Olive Oil

Seasoning ( I used a bbq rub with added cumin and garlic salt)

1.5 Cups Water

Chopped basil for garnish

First rinse the farrow and add into a pan. Toss in the chopped brussel sprouts, the bouillon cubes, and the water. Bring to a boil, then turn the heat down and simmer covered for 20 minutes, until water has evaporated. Stir frequently.

Meanwhile, in a sauce pan add olive oil and sauté the chopped onions, bell peppers, green beans, and garlic. Once done set aside until farrow is ready.

In a separate bowl combine  the cream cheese and 1/2 avocado until creamy.

Season and grill the pork for 4-5 min a side (4 sides) until center is done and outside browned.

When farrow is finished cooking, add in the creamy avocado, and mix thoroughly. Then add in the sautéed vegetables mixing again.

Plate and top with the grilled pork.

Sprinkle with chopped basil.

I was surprised by how tasty this invention turned out, and will be making it many more times, maybe with chicken next time, and some mushrooms…so many options 😛

Let me know of what you think!

Cheers

(My cover photo is a purchased Shutterstock photo, since mine didn’t look as appetizing as I would have liked.)
