Jalapeno Cilantro Hummus

Did you know hummus is super easy to make? You only need a few basic ingredients, and then you can get fun with the flavors with any added ingredients.

This was the first time i’ve ever made it and I was very impressed. I happened to have jalapeños and cilantro at home so it was a no-brainer with what flavor I wanted to experiment with first.

Ingredients:

1 Can Garbanzo Beans- drained.

1/2 Cup – 1 cup fresh cilantro

1/4 Cup Tahini

1/4 Cup Lime Juice

3 Jalapeños – roasted and de-seeded.

1 Tbsp Minced Garlic (or 2 cloves)

1 Tbsp Olive Oil

Directions:

Add everything into a food processor and blend until smooth. That’s it!

I roasted the jalapeños so they would not be over-powering, but if you want a distinct jalapeño taste, and more spice, then skip roasting them.

Most recipes call for lemon juice..I only had lime, and I am very glad with how the taste turned out.

What do you think?

Cheers!
