Not magic mushrooms you hippie, these are for cooking.
I got this cool grow-your-own pearl oyster mushroom kit from Back to the Roots, as a gift last year, and decided the other day to bust it out.
It was super simple to set up, and has been a lot of fun watching them grow. Soon I will be harvesting them and making dinner.. What should I make? My first thought is some type of mushroom ravioli. Or maybe a risotto? Or even pizza. Hmm, so many choices. Have a great idea? Let me know!
Anyways, I am going to share the photos below, but beware, some people find them gross. I on the other hand, think the baby mushrooms are adorable.
They are probably ready to harvest since it looks like they are starting to split.
